Maruti Dzire CNG 2025
Maruti Suzuki, India’s top carmaker in the CNG segment, has added another exciting model to its lineup – the 2025 Maruti Suzuki DZire CNG. This new CNG-powered sedan will be available in two variants: VXi and ZXi. It will compete with other CNG sedans like the Tata Tigor CNG and Hyundai Aura CNG. Maruti Suzuki plans to offer CNG options on all its models sold through Arena dealerships, aiming for CNG vehicles to make up over 20% of their total sales soon.
Currently, Maruti offers factory-fitted CNG kits in popular models like the Alto, S-Presso, WagonR, Eeco, Celerio, and Ertiga. With the addition of the DZire CNG, the brand continues to strengthen its position in the CNG market.
The 2025 Maruti DZire CNG is now open for bookings with a down payment of just Rs 11,000. The prices start at Rs 8.14 lakh for the VXi variant and go up to Rs 8.82 lakh for the ZXi variant (ex-showroom). The car promises an impressive mileage of 31.12 km/kg, making it a cost-effective choice for daily commuters.

The DZire CNG looks and feels just like its petrol version, with features that vary based on the variant.

The DZire CNG is powered by a 1.2-liter DualJet, 4-cylinder petrol engine. In petrol mode, it delivers 89 hp of power and 113 Nm of torque. When running on CNG, these numbers drop slightly to 77 hp and 98.5 Nm. The engine is paired with a 5-speed manual transmission, but unlike the petrol version, it doesn’t offer an AMT (Automated Manual Transmission) option.
Since the CNG kit is factory-fitted, the car’s warranty remains intact, and customers can enjoy lower running costs. Maruti has also added Dual Inter-Dependent ECU units, a CNG fuel gauge, and stainless steel fittings for durability. Safety switches ensure the engine cuts off automatically during refueling.
