Volkswagen Tayron 7-Seater SUV
The Volkswagen Tayron, which is essentially a 7-seater version of the Tiguan, was recently spotted testing in Chandrapur, Maharashtra. While Volkswagen has not officially confirmed its India launch, the sighting has sparked excitement among SUV enthusiasts. The 5-seater Tiguan R-Line was launched in India in April 2025, and now its bigger sibling, the Tayron, might follow.
The Tayron seen in India looks almost identical to the Tiguan R-Line. It has the same stylish LED headlights and connected LED taillights with a light bar running across. The front grille has a glossy black finish with an ‘R’ badge, just like the Tiguan. The side profile shows the same dual-tone alloy wheels, and the rear has a ‘Tayron’ badge under the taillights.

The Tayron is longer and roomier than the Tiguan to accommodate the extra third-row seats. Here’s how they compare:
Though the interior was not fully visible in the spy shots, the international model has the same dashboard as the Tiguan. It includes a large 15-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, and a sporty three-spoke steering wheel. The extra space means seating for seven instead of five.
