The new off-road-focused KTM 390 Adventure R is expected to debut in India around January 2026, targeting enthusiasts seeking serious off-road capabilities.
Unlike the standard model, the Adventure R features a 21-inch front wheel and an 18-inch rear wheel (spoked in international models) for superior terrain handling.
The KTM 390 Adventure R is equipped with 230 mm long-travel suspension, featuring 43 mm WP Apex USD front forks and a rear monoshock with rebound and damping adjustability.
Ground clearance has been significantly increased to 272 mm, a major upgrade from the 232 mm found on the standard 2026 KTM 390 Adventure.
To support extreme off-roading, the KTM 390 Adventure R seat height is now 870 mm, up from the standard 830 mm.
The KTM 390 Adventure R comes loaded with Cornering MTC (Traction Control), Cornering ABS, Off-Road ABS, and Cruise Control for a safer riding experience.
It sports a 5-inch full-colour TFT display with KTM Connect, offering turn-by-turn navigation, call management, and music control via a USB Type-C port.
It is powered by the existing 399 cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine, producing 45.3 bhp at 8,500 rpm and 39 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm.
Positioning itself as a hardcore machine, it is expected to be priced between ₹4 lakh and ₹4.5 lakh (ex-showroom), higher than the current Adventure and Adventure X models.
