2025 yamaha fz-s fi hybrid
Yamaha has rolled out the new Yamaha FZ-S Fi Hybrid in India, priced at Rs. 1.45 lakhs (ex-showroom). This latest version of the popular FZ series brings mild-hybrid technology, making it more fuel-efficient and eco-friendly. The bike also comes with a modern 4.2-inch TFT display, smartphone connectivity, and other upgrades, making it a great choice for tech-savvy riders.
The FZ-S Fi Hybrid is Yamaha’s first motorcycle in India to feature mild-hybrid technology. This system, similar to what Yamaha and TVS have used in their scooters, includes a Starter Motor Generator (SMG). The SMG helps the bike start smoothly and silently. It also supports an automatic stop/start feature, which turns off the engine when you’re stuck in traffic and restarts it instantly when you release the clutch. This not only saves fuel but also reduces emissions. Additionally, a small battery assists during quick acceleration, further improving fuel efficiency.

While the engine remains unchanged, the hybrid version meets the latest OBD2B emission standards, making it more environmentally friendly. The bike weighs 138 kg, which is slightly heavier (by 1-2 kg) than the non-hybrid FZ-S V4.
