New Long-Range Electric SUVs from Mahindra Start at Rs 21.90 Lakh
Mahindra has launched new versions of its electric SUVs—the XEV 9e and BE 6—with a bigger 79 kWh battery pack. These models, called “Pack Two,” will start reaching customers by the end of July 2025. The new battery option gives more driving range, making these electric SUVs even better for long trips.

The starting price for the BE 6 with the smaller 59 kWh battery is Rs 21.90 lakh, while the 79 kWh version costs Rs 23.50 lakh (ex-showroom). The XEV 9e is priced higher, starting at Rs 24.90 lakh for the 59 kWh model and Rs 26.50 lakh for the 79 kWh version.

More Range and Faster Charging for Better Performance
The new 79 kWh battery gives up to 500 km of driving range in city conditions, while the 59 kWh version offers around 400 km. Both support fast charging—the smaller battery works with a 140 kW DC charger, and the bigger one can charge from 20% to 80% in just 20 minutes using a 175 kW DC charger.

Customers who have already booked their electric SUVs can switch to the long-range version if they want. However, the home charger installation is an extra cost, with options for 7.2 kW and 11.2 kW chargers.

The 59 kWh battery uses a 170 kW motor, while the 79 kWh version gets a stronger 210 kW motor. Both have different driving modes, including a Boost Mode for extra power when needed. The SUVs also come with one-pedal driving, regenerative braking, and adaptive cruise control for a smoother ride.

The steering is designed for better control, and the suspension system ensures a comfortable drive on all types of roads. Special noise-reducing features keep the cabin quiet, making long journeys more relaxing.
